Assessment Structure During the Training Programme

Throughout the training in Integrative Psychotherapy, trainees complete three major examinations, held at the end of Years 1, 3, and 5.

End of Year 1 Examination

This is a theoretical examination, conducted either in written or oral format.

·      Content: Two topics selected from the official list of examination topics.

·      Total duration: 2 hours

·      Grading scale: 4–10

·      Minimum passing grade: 6

In order to successfully complete Year 1, trainees must also submit an essay titled:
“My Personal Experience During the First Year of Training in Integrative Psychotherapy.”

In addition, progression beyond Year 3 requires:  Two academic essays of 10,000 words each, A dissertation of 15,000 words

End of Year 3 Examination

This stage includes both theoretical and practical assessment.

Theoretical component

·      Written or oral examination

·      Three topics selected from the official topics list.

Practical component
Trainees receive a written clinical case and are required to demonstrate the ability to: 1. Formulate a psychological diagnosis, 2. Develop an Integrative Strategic Case Formulation, 3. Establish a therapeutic strate, 4. Propose appropriate intervention methods

Total examination duration: 4 hours

Grading scale: 4–10

Minimum passing grade: 6

End of Year 5 Final Examination

The final stage again includes both theoretical and advanced practical assessment.

Theoretical component

·      Written or oral examination

Practical component
Trainees are provided with:

·      One detailed written clinical case requiring: 1. Diagnostic assessment, 2. Integrative Strategic Case Formulation, 3. Treatment strategy development, 4. Intervention planning

·      One short case vignette for which a diagnosis must be formulated

Total examination duration: 4 hours

Grading scale: 4–10

Minimum passing grade: 6

Final academic requirements
To graduate, trainees must also complete:

·      Two essays of 10,000 words each

·      A dissertation of 20,000 words, including at least one full clinical case study

Clinical Practice Requirements

Trainees must submit:

·      A minimum of 10 case protocols

·      Covering 10 different supervised clients

·      From different clinical presentations

·      Documenting at least 300 hours of therapy practice

This assessment framework ensures progressive integration of theoretical knowledge, clinical reasoning, ethical responsibility, and reflective professional development.
