The Propaedeutics Course is a one-year foundational academic programme (300 hours) designed for individuals who have not previously completed studies in human or medical sciences (such as psychology, medicine, nursing, social work, sociology, philosophy, theology, pedagogy, special psychopedagogy, anthropology, communication and public relations, educational sciences, cultural studies, early childhood education, pedagogy of primary and preschool education, or allied disciplines) prior to entering training in integrative psychotherapy.

Its purpose is to provide the theoretical, conceptual, and scientific grounding necessary for responsible participation in professional psychotherapy education. The course establishes psychotherapeutic literacy, familiarises participants with key conceptual frameworks, and develops the academic readiness required for advanced clinical training.

Position Within the Training Pathway

The Propaedeutics Course is not a standalone programme but is delivered alongside the Integrative Psychotherapy Training for those who require this academic foundation.

Applicants apply for the Integrative Psychotherapy Training. For participants who do not hold a prior degree in the human sciences, the first year of training includes the propaedeutic curriculum, ensuring that all trainees reach a comparable level of academic preparation before progressing further into specialised psychotherapy studies.

This structure allows equal access to training while maintaining academic and professional standards.
